Yes! The library is open to anyone that is on campus, including guests and visitors. This means that materials can be used within the Library only, unless you have a Community Borrowing card. If you wish to use an online database, please ask a librarian to log you into a guest computer station (located behind the Ask Us (Reference) desk) in order to do so. Printing is 10 cents per page. Further information can be found on the Library's Borrowing Privileges page. To purchase a community borrower card, visit the Service Desk on the first floor. There is an annual fee of $75 which allows you to borrow up to 5 books at a time. You can only borrow books only from SMC with this card. Please contact the Service Desk if you have further questions at (925) 631-4229. You are always welcome to visit the library during all open hours.
